  1. One nifty use of local variables is setting fill-column for some buffers. For example, I may want some txt file to have 100 character wide columns (a drawing in artist mode? An ascii table without using org-mode?).

    Another related one is with org mode, where you can set colours for TODO markers and such variables. I also use it very often to set the dictionary language to use with *spell with

    % Local IspellDict: “british”

    • I am going to have too look into using the fill-column setting more. Probably when writing longer/complex comments to document code.

      I still do so much manually when there is always some M-x magic that would do everything I want for me haha.
