It’s Always Something

It’s very simple… I want a new phone.

Or it should be, most people just are fairly simplistic in their phone needs. I on the other hand require much more functionality from my phone. I currently have the Palm Treo 700w from Verizon, which was amazing when i first got it. The 700w has a decent size screen with a full keyboard and with Windows Mobile I am able to run tons of helpful apps to let me do whatever I want. Not only am I able to sync with my google calendar, access my gmail account, but I am also able to access my slingbox from it too.

Now what kills me with my current phone is that it is painfully slow and the screen resolution is terrible, especially considering some of the new phones coming out. The phones that I have been looking at are the Palm Treo 800w, Samsung i770, HTC Touch Pro, and the one I am the most excited about; the Sony Experia X1.

The Experia seems like it will be the most impressive phone coming out as far as style, features, performance and screen size/resolution. The issue is that I will have to switch from Verizon to AT&T to be able to get service for it which makes me more than a little concerned considering some of the things I have heard about AT&T’s coverage and reliability, especially compared to Verizon. But for the bleeding edge technology I guess I will be forced to make a few sacrifices.
